Fall Latte Recipes

Because we hear so much about the Pumpkin Spice Latte (we raise our glasses to your Starbucks) we decided to embrace the flavors of the season and make our own. And we didn’t stop there. We also created another sweet latte—maple orange—that will pair well with lighter roasts such as our Honduran or Guatemalan beans.

But, what if you’re reading this and saying: Wait! I don’t have a fancy espresso machine, I can’t make a latte. No fear, my friend. We were generous in our term “Latte” and we tested these recipes with pour over, aeropress, and even french pressed coffee. And it tasted delicious no matter your coffee preparation. (Not sure how to prepare your coffee? Head to our guide here to learn the basics of a perfect cup.)

So, without further ado, I present to your our version of the Pumpkin Spice Latte and our own Maple Orange Latte. Enjoy!

PSL:

8oz coffee prepared how you prefer (or 1-2 shots of espresso)

1 TBSP pumpkin puree

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (we love the trader joe’s pumpkin pie spice mix!)

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 cup milk of your choice

Prepare your coffee and pour into a mug. In a separate mug/container, warm the milk (either with a milk frother or on the stovetop); after milk is heated, mix in the rest of the ingredients and stir until combined. Pour your pumpkin milky goodness on top of your hot coffee and enjoy.

Maple Orange Latte:

8oz coffee prepared how you prefer (or 1-2 shots of espresso)

1 TBSP pure maple syrup

1/2 tsp orange zest

1/4 cup milk of your choice

Prepare your coffee and pour into a mug. Heat up your milk with a frother or on the stovetop. Once the milk is hot, add the maple syrup and orange zest. Add the milk contents to your coffee, stir and enjoy. If you have the rind of the orange, slide that across the rim of your coffee mug for extra flavor.
